South of Nick's - San Clemente, CA in Pics
As you might already know, I don't post about it these days unless I would gladly go back. South of Nick's continues to keep the bar high for service, quality of ingredients, and execution.
Sometimes you have to mentally compensate with one aspect of a restaurant's performance for slight relative underperformance in another in order to conclude that you like or love the place, but not so for Nick's. Each staff member you encounter is polite, friendly, and professional, and when the food comes out, it's equally satisfying.
It's Dean's favorite Mex or Mex-inspired restaurant at the moment, and as much as he loves Mex food, it is the highest praise.
