Dongdaemun Design Plaza: one of Seoul's most remarkable beauties

The Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), one of the most iconic buildings in Korea, opened in 2014.

It was designed by Zaha Hadid. It's famous for its spaceship design. It looks like a spaceship from above. The DDP was the most tagged place on Instagram in Korea in 2015. Famous for its various exhibitions, conventions, its LED rose garden and its amazing 3-D design, it's also the home of Seoul Fashion Week.

For lovers of Korean soap operas and TV shows, it's a must-go-to place. The DDP was the filming location for some of the most famous shows, like “My Love From the Star" (별에서 온 그대), "The Producers" (프로듀사) and "She Was Pretty" (그녀는 예뻤다).

For an amazing view, I recommend going to the DDP during the evening, and the Lotte Fitin shopping tower offers one of the best views of the DDP.
