Dean's Easy Bourbon Cola BBQ Sauce

Dean makes crazy good pork ribs, and whenever I post about them, I am invariably asked for the recipe.

While he still hasn't written down his process for cooking the ribs, I can share his easy, fingerlickindelicious recipe for Bourbon Cola BBQ Sauce.

We prefer St. Louis to babyback in our house, but this sauce is great with any cut of pork (and beef and chicken, too)!

Dean's Easy Bourbon Cola BBQ Sauce

- 1 can of cola reduced by half over a medium flame and cooled
- 3/4 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 3 to 4 Tablespoons Bourbon
- 1 to 3 Tablespoons apple cider vinegar (depending on how tangy you like your sauce)
- 2 teaspoons brown mustard
- 2 to 3 teaspoons Tabasco sauce
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon coffee grounds

Mix it all together thoroughly (until all the brown sugar is dissolved) and make sure to brush it on whatever meat you're cooking 15 to 20 minutes before you're done grilling/broiling/roasting to give the sauce a chance to caramelize properly.

That's it!

Enjoy! :)
