Korean Spicy Pork
Ingredients
15 oz thinly sliced pork belly, shoulder or butt.
3/4 medium size onion, very thinly sliced
2 Serrano peppers, sliced at an angle(optional)
2 green onion, sliced at an angle
little bit of sesame seeds for garnish
For the Sauce
1/4 of fuji apple, peeled
5 cloves garlic, peeled
1 teaspoon ginger
1 Tablespoon Korean crushed red flakes
2 Tablespoons gochujang
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 Tablespoon sugar
1 Tablespoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
3 Tablespoons mirin or rice wine
Directions
Combine all of ingredients for sauce in to food processor and ground until it's very smooth sauce.
Add sauce into prepared pork, stirring very well with your hand or use a spoon until combined, set aside. You can cook right away but for better result, marinate for at least 30 minutes to over night.
Heat oil in a large size skillet over high heat. Add meat mixture stir-fry about 5 minutes until pork cooked 1/2 way through, add sliced onion. Stir fry for 5 more minutes. Add sliced Serrano peppers. Remove from heat top with chopped green onion and sesame seeds as desired.
Serve with warmed cooked rice.
