Homemade Big Mac's and Bay's Gotcha Day!
Those of you who regularly read my blog knw that my youngest child
Bay was adopted from South Korea when she was a baby. Well, she
came home to us exactly 11 years ago today. It's her "Gotcha Day!"
We celebrate by giving her a gift, this year it was a pair of Ariat boots that
she has been dying for just like mine. I also made one of her favorite
meals, Homemade Big Macs!
Here's a picture of my sweet girl!
Big Mac Special Sauce
adapted from Top Secret Recipes
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons French dressing
4 teaspoons sweet pickle relish
1 tablespoon finely minced white onion
1 teaspoon white vinegar
1 teaspoon sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
In a small bowl, combine all ingredients and stir well.
Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight.
Makes about 3/4 cup
My big macs have all the same ingredients as those famous ones but
are only one story high and instead of two. I only use one patty but
grilling them gives them a wonderful smokey flavor that goes great
with the special sauce!
Now......... You remember the song, don't you?
Well, here is an old 1970's McDonalds commercial to jog your memory.
Uh oh......now I've got that tune stuck in my head......
