Flank Steak Tacos with Grilled Cabbage and San Francisco
Last Sunday was our last day of vacation. I know......boo hoo!
The best part was that Jim was totally inspired from the grilled
romaine in the recipe and decided to grill some shredded
cabbage for one of the taco toppings. We have used cabbage
on fish tacos but never steak. Grilling it brought out a smokiness
that was fantastic with the smokiness of the beef. If you haven't
tried it do! It was so good! To finish the tacos we just needed
some sour cream, cheese and a little salsa verde! Perfection!
Here are some of my favorite pictures from our San Francisco
vacation.
(If you look close you can see my sons and me in one of the
Chinatown pics. Well, the back of our heads at least.)
We had a fabulous time! The weather was beautiful and at
least 40 + degrees cooler than Oklahoma! We did a lot of
walking and I was so sore that I was walking like a 90 year
old woman but it was worth it. We saw some amazing sites
and had so much fun! My kids are getting older and we didn't
know how much longer they would be going on vacations with
old mom and dad so we thought we should take one more big
one before they all grow up and leave us. I'm so glad we did
but I'm looking forward to going back to see my Dad and Florida
Mom next year so I can RELAX! LOL!
