Melting Cheese at the Ferry Building
Who doesn't love the look of melting cheese?
Awhile back when I was strolling through the Ferry Building in San Francisco, I walked past the Cowgirl Creamery store, which is always crowded with cheese lovers, and smelled the distinct funky smell of melted cheese.
You know, it's that smell usually associated with fondue. But it wasn't fondue but what's called Raclette, which is just melted cheese on a toasted bread with pickles. (It was sold for $5.) Just looking at the big chunk of cheese dripping down from the metal stand looked so amazing. But alas, I had to avoid it because I eat very little cheese because of my high cholesterol. Still, it made for some juicy photos.
