Hashbrown Casserole with Thyme
I actually made this yummy side dish the weekend our friends from Owasso
came down but I forgot to post it. My blog serves two purposes................
one is to share recipes I love with everyone and the other is have a safe keeping
for all my favorites. I definitely don't want to loose this recipe! You can't find a
easier recipe and it's such a major comfort food! I personally think that it's the
smidgen of thyme in the recipe that just sets it apart from all others out there.
It's that little extra something that makes it really special.
Hashbrown Casserole with Thyme
1 (32 oz) bag Oreida potato shreds hash browns
1 onion, finely diced
1 (10 1/2 ounce) cream of mushroom soup
1 (10 1/2 ounce) cream of celery soup
1 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
8 oz sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix potatoes, onion, soups, and 1/2 of the cheese and thyme.
Spray a 9x13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
Spread potato mixture into baking dish and sprinkle with remaining cheese.
Bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until hot and bubbly.

a friends house for a barbecue. You could easily make it a main dish by
tossing in some cubed up ham into the mix. We even ate the leftovers
for breakfast the next day beside an egg biscuit. Winner...Winner.......
Chicken Dinner! You can't loose with this one!
