Fabulous French Onion Dip
I'm sharing this recipe now so you will have plenty of time to try this out for your Christmas and New Year parties. I guarantee once you make this dip you will NEVER go back to buying those pre-made dips again.
It does take a few spices and herbs and even one you might not have in your pantry, but once you have them all you can make this dip over and over again.
1/4 cup dried onion flakes
2 teaspoons onion powder
1 beef bouillon cube (crushed)
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1 teaspoon dried celery flakes
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
16 oz. sour cream
Mix all ingredients together and mix well.
Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours.
Stir to blend just before serving.
*Be sure to make this dip early in the day so the dried flakes have time to soften, overnight is even better.
I put my bouillon cube in a baggy and whack away.
If you don't want to have fun getting all your
aggression out, you can sub 2 teaspoons of bouillon
granules for the cube.
I just think this is more fun.
Plus.........somehow I ended up with two bottles of beef bouillon cubes in my pantry and this is how I'm using them up. ;)
I hope you enjoy this thick, rich onion dip over
the Holidays. I'm positive your family will love it!
